We've made several improvements to AI Assistant based on your feedback — including smarter candidate qualification logic and updates to make your inbox easier to manage.
Candidate needs human response emails now have a consistent subject line
Previously, when a candidate needed recruiter attention during an active AI Assistant conversation, the email subject line was generated dynamically based on the conversation. This made it difficult to locate or filter these messages in your email inbox.
Before: Florence Nightingale needs stipend confirmation
After: Candidate needs human response: Florence Nightingale needs stipend confirmation
Now every email of this type starts with "Candidate needs human response" — so you can create inbox rules or filters to automatically flag these messages and respond faster.
AI Assistant now sends a closing message to unqualified candidates
Previously, once a candidate was marked unqualified, AI Assistant would continue responding — leading to repetitive conversations with no clear resolution.
Now, AI Assistant will send a closing message as soon as a lead is marked unqualified, letting the candidate know they are not qualified to proceed with the role. If the candidate submits a new application, the conversation will reactivate automatically.
AI Assistant now gathers preferences from partially qualified candidates
Previously, when a candidate was identified as partially qualified due to experience, AI Assistant used language that could feel like a hard stop — phrases like "you cannot move forward" or "you are not eligible."
Now, when a candidate is partially qualified, AI Assistant stops screening for the specific job they applied to and instead gathers their preferences and information on licenses and certifications they hold. The language has been updated to reflect this shift — for example, instead of telling a candidate they aren't eligible, AI Assistant will now say something like: "This job requires NIHSS, which you don't have, but Rachel Recruiter can confirm if they can submit you."
This keeps the conversation open and gives your recruiters the context they need to make the final call.
New graduate clinicians are no longer marked unqualified for therapy specialties
Based on your feedback, we've updated how AI Assistant evaluates new graduate candidates applying to select therapy travel jobs. For the specialties below, new graduates will no longer be considered unqualified:
- Physical Therapist
- Occupational Therapist
- Speech Language Pathologist
- Rehabilitation Therapist
- Pediatric Physical Therapist
- Pediatric Occupational Therapist
Here's how the updated logic works:
- If a travel job has no experience requirement, or states it accepts new graduates, the candidate is considered fully qualified
- If a travel job requires a specific number of years of experience, the candidate is considered partially qualified
- AI Assistant will only generate a recency requirement if the travel job lists a specific years of experience requirement
Note: This update applies to the specialties listed above for travel jobs only and does not affect assistant roles.
